www.mulberrystreetmovie.com. The dvd was released 3/08/08 by Lionsgate's 8 Films To Die For series: (Belladonna Prods., Jim Mickle-Director/Linda Moran Producer). It was the opening film in Nov. 07's Toronto After Dark
Films' Horrorfest where it won 1st prize for a feature. Within the past year two years this film was well received in U.S. and International Film Festivals. Antone sent cast and crew well wishes for the Toronto screening Gala and stayed in NYC for a positive and uplifting interview for Revolucion Latina-http://youtube.com/user/RevolucionLatina,click on Revolucion Latina & the power of Antone Pagan This interview is conducted by a fellow Boriqua (Puerto Rican-dance teacher/dancer/choreographer) Luis Salgado, who is currently enjoying the success of The Broadway Latino Musical, In The Heights. This show is more uplifting and represents more realistic Latinos living, dancing, playing, fighting, loving together within the sruggles of life, but on a positive tip, unlike 'psuedo' Latino characters in "West Side Story" and "Capeman" which do not nor never will capture the "Boriqua/Puerto Rican Essence! It is long overdue time for a change! May "In the Heights" do well...and..(an update).. it is doing so! Antone can also be seen in the Pictures House’s release of Salsa music legend (that missed the mark) Hector Lavoe in El Cantante (as
J Lo’s brother Papo) also starring Marc Anthony. Produced by innovative producer, David Maldonado of the recent off-Broadway hit, Celia in NYC. *Antone's most recent SAG Indy film is "Here and There" (an award winning script) by Serbian Writer-Director Darka Lunguluvo as a positive Puerto Rican/Boriqua character, Jose Escobar (finally somebody is getting it right, Thank You Darka) http://www.hereandtherethemovie.com/ starring David Thornton, Cyndi Lauper and Branislav Trifunovic. A strong trailer with Ms.
Lauper's wonderfully composed and sung "Heart and Soul" song for the film can be heard and view on the You Tube site or Googled under
Cyndi Lauper's music/videos or "Here and There film and Antone Pagan". FMC Productions (The Cookout and Grand Jury Prize 2001 Sundance Award Winner), KinoKamera Productions (Polycarp with Charles Durning) had a preliminary screening in May 08's Cannes Film Festival as a Serbian Special Presentation. Antone and Benicio Del Toro (Che) were the only two Puerto Rican featured as leads or principles and Benicio won the "Best Actor"Award.
